John William Tatum

John William Tatum passed away suddenly on October 24, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents William Woffard Tatum and Marie Anderson Tatum. 

Left behind to cherish too many fond memories to recount are his loving wife of 31 years, Renee Tatum; sister Kitty Terry (Joe); special brother in law, Tim Keister; nieces and nephews, Paul Terry (Naomi), Courtney Reidel (Brady), Brian Strong (Samantha), Nic Keister (Desiree), Abby Keister (Tyler); great nieces and nephews, Konner, Karsyn, Kolton, and Kymber Strong; and many other relatives and life long best friends. 

John, known by Waterman to those closest to him, enjoyed telling stories of his football days. He devoted 45 years of his life working for Reliable Welding where he loved what he did and enjoyed working with those around him each and every day. When John wasn't working, he spent his time golfing, fishing, relaxing at his cabin, watching any sporting event his nieces and nephews were engaged in, going on adventures, fellowshipping with friends and family, and taking his beloved dogs on rides. 

There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, at Chatmoss Country Club. Opening remarks will begin at 3:15pm, followed by family speeches, tributes from extended family and friends, and a time of gathering to close the evening. The family invites guests to stop by and visit, or stay for the entire service. Casual attire is encouraged - suits and formal wear are not required. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please consider making a donation to your local SPCA.
