Johnnie Oscar Yother, Sr., 85, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023.He was born October 16, 1937 in Dalton, Georgia, to the late Luke Henry Yother and Willie Pauline Starks Yother.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his spouse, Violet Willene Worley Yother and brother, Billy Joe Yother.Johnnie was an Air Force Veteran, a truck driver, and he loved to travel.He is survived by his daughter, Terri Lynn Yother Welch; son, Johnnie Oscar Yother, Jr.; sisters, Hilda Sue Yother Flood and Martha Ann Yother Cline; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a very special friend and companion for 17 years Lois Hancock; and several nieces and nephews.No services are planned at this time.Wright Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the family.
