Johnnie Wayne Dodd

Johnnie Wayne Dodd, 78, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Johnnie was born in Danville, VA on July 15, 1947 to the late Madie Reynolds Dodd and the late Perry Thomas Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Mrs. Bonita Holley Dodd.

Johnnie was of the Christian Faith and attended White Oak Worship Center. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, as a veteran of the Vietnam conflict. He also had a special love for classic cars, especially his classic red mustang.

In addition to his wife, Johnnie is survived by two sisters; Jean Reynolds of Lynchburg, VA and Joyce Reid of Richmond, VA; and his first cousin Tommy Stowe.

In addition to his parents, Johnnie was predeceased by a brother; Perry Thomas Dodd Jr.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 11:00am at Mt. View Cemetery, with Pastor Roger Ewing officiating.
