Jordan Lynn Mccoy

November 22, 1992 - March 8, 2026

Jordan Lynn McCoy, 33, of Christiansburg, Virginia, went to Heaven on March 8, 2026. He was born on November 22, 1992, in Blacksburg, Virginia, to Lawrence “Rusty” McCoy and Tracy McCoy, as the fourth of five children. Jordan went through school in Christiansburg, graduating from Christiansburg High School in 2011. He later met the love of his life, Katie Corrine (Meadows) McCoy, and they were married on July 2, 2016. They welcomed a son in 2017 and a daughter in 2021. Jordan was a friendly, happy, and humorous man who participated in social activities often and was universally loved for his kind and calm demeanor. He enjoyed watching movies with friends and family, playing video games with his son, and having tea parties with his daughter. Jordan was a lifelong Iowa Hawkeyes fan who played high school sports. Later on, he attended Hope Valley Church and loved playing in the church softball league with his friends and fellow church members. Jordan was an employee of Rowe Furniture for over 8 years and much-loved by his coworkers for his charming personality and positive attitude. He spent some of his free time volunteering with the IDA of the New River Valley, had a great time providing companionship to his friends with disabilities, and particularly enjoyed the seasonal dances because he loved dancing and their social events. He also prided himself on being a chicken farmer, having raised and cared for many chickens over the years. Jordan had many close friends whose friendships he cherished, as well as being an adored husband, father, and son. He leaves behind numerous friends and relatives who will miss him beyond measure. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Pat and Terry Foor, grandmother, Evangeline McCoy, a brother, Marc McCoy, and a special sister-in-law, April Meadows. He is survived by his parents; his sister, Ashley (McCoy) Justus, her husband Rodney Justus, and their two children; his brother Ryan McCoy, his wife Kaytlin McCoy, and their two children; his sister Tara (McCoy) Underwood, her husband Evan Underwood, and their daughter; and various uncles, aunts, and cousins. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bruce and Anita Meadows, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Aaron and Koren Meadows, Rebekah Meadows, and Kevin and Emily Meadows and their two children; and nephew Riley Meadows and niece Alaina Meadows, with whom he indulged his love of Taco Bell and movie-watching. Jordan’s family would like to thank the congregations of several local churches who provided much-needed support to them over the past year, particularly Hope Valley Church. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 2:00 in the afternoon at Hope Valley Church, 2149 Dominion Drive, Christiansburg, Virginia 24073. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the IDA of the New River Valley, 175 W. Main St., Christiansburg, Virginia, 24073.
