Joseph Edward Milam

Joseph Edward Milam, 66, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, surrounded by his family. Joseph was born on March 5, 1959 in Danville, VA to the late Mauerine Elizabeth Starkey Milam and the late Joseph Armstead Milam.

Joseph was of the Baptist Faith. He was also a member of the Jaycees. He worked for many years as the manager-sterile processing for Nexera previous to his retirement.

Joseph is survived by four sisters; Laura McCoy (Keith) of Ringgold, VA, Carolyn Turner of Ringgold, VA, Melisa Herndon of Chatham, VA, and Nancy Davis (Derek) of Ringgold, VA; nieces and nephews; Allison Emerson, Sam McCoy, Seth McCoy, Stephen Henderson, Nathaniel Herndon, Katie, Boswell, Brandi Davis, Karen Chilton, and Benjamin Davis; and numerous great nieces and nephews; and special close friends, Keith Walker and Izzy.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was predeceased by a brother; Johnny Starkey.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025 from 4-5:30pm at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA.
