Joseph Scott Collins

Joseph "Scotty" Collins departed this world on May 28th, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. He was born May 4, 1954 in Martinsville, VA to Faye Ashburn Collins and the late, Elmer Eugene Collins.

In addition to his mother, left to cherish his memory are his spouse, Cindy Barbour; son, Joseph Lee Collins; daughter, Ashley "Claire" Collins; son-in-law, Bryan Allen Byrd; and his loving chocolate Labrador, Buddy. He is also survived by his sisters, Pamela Collins Albanese and Penny Collins Cox; brother, Victor Tilton Collins; and sister in law, Catherine Shoup Collins; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Martinsville and Henry County SPCA or enjoy serene time in nature in his honor. A private celebration of life is being held at a later date.
