Joyce Carolyn Justice
Joyce Carolyn Justice, 75, of Patrick Springs, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026. She was born on September 18, 1950, to the late Roy Thomas Goins and Ruby Mitchem Goins.
Joyce was preceded in death by her first husband of 23 years, Harry Stallard, Sr.; her second husband of 33 years, Randall Justice; her son, Harry Poindexter Stallard, Jr.; her granddaughter, Danielle Price; her great-grandson, Alan Martin, Jr.; and her siblings, Tommy Goins, Wilma Dodson, Darlene Fain, and Rita Goins.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Rebekah Barker (James), Deborah Lovell (Mickey), and Sue Ellen Dillon (Shannon). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Neal Stallard (Maria), Timothy Stallard, Amanda Arthur, Andrew Barker (Hannah), Carolyn Stallard, Brandon Barker (Dorothy), Michael Martin (Star), Matthew Dillon, and Connor Dillon; 23 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters: Betty Dodson (Jesse), Edna Gallimore, and Jody Giles; many nieces and nephews.
Joyce devoted much of her life to caring for others, working as a compassionate and dedicated caregiver. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially cooking for her family—her homemade jelly was a favorite—sewing beautiful dresses, and spending time fishing. She was happiest by the water and often spent entire days at the lake.
A woman of deep faith, Joyce was devoted to God and her family. She loved her children deeply, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with her loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bassett Funeral Service.The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel, with visitation beginning half an hour prior to the service. The burial will follow at the Shelton-Justice Cemetery on Pinewood Lane in Patrick Springs.
She will be forever remembered for her love, strength, and the warmth she brought to all who knew her.
