Joyce Sheetz McAdams

Joyce Sheetz McAdams, age 70, of Ringgold, VA, passed away on March 18, 2025, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with her children at her side. Born in Danville on December 28, 1954, to the late Sallie and Russell Rice.

Joyce was known as a hard worker with a generous spirit. A member of Central Blvd Church of God, she found joy in fishing, reading, and fellowship with friends. Most importantly, she found joy in her children and took great pride in who they have become.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jennifer Wright (Jason) of Rapid City, SD; son Michael Sheetz (Amanda) of Danville, VA; and two granddaughters Emily and Tegan of Rapid City, SD. She is also survived by her husband Edgar Junior McAdams, sisters Linda Rice and Diane Martin, as well as many extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Cecil and Kenneth Rice.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025 starting at 12:30 p.m., with a memorial service following at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor James Spivey.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of her love for animals, donations may be made to the Danville Humane Society.
