Joyce Walsh Harris

Joyce Walsh Harris, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025. Born on August 22, 1945, Joyce was a devoted family woman and a cherished member of her community.

Joyce had a deep love for hummingbirds and spent countless hours watching them through her window. Her passion for nature extended to her work, where she thrived in her role at the garden shop of Walmart in Madison Heights. Joyce's love for the outdoors and her dedication to her work made her a favorite among colleagues and customers alike.

A memorial service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at the Whitten Monelison Chapel on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 1 pm. The service will be officiated by Jimmy Davis.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Samuel Walsh and Gladys Fulcher Simpson. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine S. Sprouse, her two sons, James O. Stinnette Jr. and Michael L. Stinnette, her two grandchildren, Jason Sprouse and Jennifer Pannell of Rustburg, Virginia, and her three great-grandchildren.

The family is being assisted by Whitten Monelison Chapel. Joyce will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
