Juanita Carol Brooks Lester

Juanita Carol Brooks Lester, 57, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, surrounded by her family. Juanita was born in North Carolina on May 2, 1968 to the Mrs. Wanda Stallings Gill. She was predeceased by her Grandparents, who raised her like a daughter, Persey and Annie Stallings.

Juanita was of the Christian Faith. She was a loving Homemaker who loved her family dearly, especially her daughter and grandchildren.

Juanita is survived by a daughter; Breanna Hancock and son in law Jeremy Hancock of Danville, VA; a brother; Edward Gill; two grandchildren; Turner and Gavin Hancock; a special cousin, whom she loved like a sister; Kim Butler; a special cat; Stormy; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.

In addition to her grandparents, Juanita was predeceased by a brother; Daryl Gill.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
