Juanita Louise Anderson Staples

Juanita Louise Anderson Staples, 72, of Amherst, Virginia passed away on Thursday,

January 22, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Juanita was born in Triangle, Virginia

on January 6, 1954 to the late Clyde Edward Anderson and Amanda Kathleen Able

Anderson. Juanita worked for Westminster-Canterbury in their food services before

going on to Automatic Service Company where she retired as Operations Manager after

nearly 20 years of her steadfast dedication and hard work. Juanita was preceded in death

by her son David Edwards. In addition to her son she was also preceded in death by her

brothers, Edward Ray Anderson, Thomas Frederick Anderson, and William Anderson.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Liming and Molly Wadel. She is

survived by her loving husband; Russel Morris Staples Sr. She is also survived by her

daughter, Trisha Anderson (Brian), a son, Russel Morris Staples Jr. (Renee), and a sister,

Brenda Rifle. Juanitan leaves behind her cherished grandchild, Sydney Engle (Isaiah),

and a great-grandson, Dawson Engle. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday January 27,

2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Driskill Funeral Chapel. A graveside service is

scheduled for Wednesday, January 28, 2026 starting at 2:00 PM at Amherst Cemetery.
