Judith Ann Heistand

Judith Ann Heistand, 80, of Collinsville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024. She was born December 4, 1943, in York, Pennsylvania, to the late Calvin Mayo Word and Dorothy Shenberger Word.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn H. Heistand; and son, Kenneth W. Markle, Jr.Judith was a member of Smith Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, traveling, entertaining, cocktail parties, and dancing. She loved her grand dog and she lived a great life.She is survived by daughter Peggy Perkins (Robert); sister, Wanda Cooper; brothers Calvin Word (Betty); granddaughter, Rachel Ann Wert, Melissa Williams (Doug), Natasha Ryseff (Jeffrey), Shannon Perkins; great grandchildren, Cali Ann Wert, Calvin, Gabrielle, Vittoria, Avery, Clifford, Austin (Bubba), Zane, Asher, and Preston.Services will be held at a later date.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
