Judith Dawn Lyle West Jones

Judith Dawn Lyle West Jones, 75, passed peacefully in her home on April 17, 2023. Judi was born in West Virginia but spent most of her life in Roanoke and Franklin Counties. She ran a successful barber shop for many years near Smith Mountain Lake and enjoyed time spent with her many loyal clients until her retirement in December 2022. Judi loved animals, particularly dogs, and was recently excited to see the hummingbirds return to her feeders. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sister, Marcia West; her children, Kim (Brock) Fisher, Eric (Jennifer) West, Melanie (Gary) Rogers, and Seattle (Tabatha) West; her 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Noel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Blake Lyle and Tressie Belle Monday Lyle, and her husband, James “Jimmy” Jones.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. A reception will follow at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem.
