Judith "La Vonne" Digman
Judith “LaVonne” Digman, age 83, of Danville, Virginia, went to her heavenly home on Thursday September 4, 2025, at Sovah Health in Danville, Virginia.
Mrs. Digman was born on April 26, 1942, in Danville to the late Waverly Cassada Scearce and Grady Scearce Sr.
Mrs. Digman ran a Christian Preschool class at her home where her students would call her ‘Mommy Von’, and she and her husband, Charles were members of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mrs. Digman is survived by her husband, Charles Digman; daughter, Lynette D. Yarbrough (Randy); sisters, Pat Crumpton (Barry) and Vicky Arnn (Danny); brother, Grady Scearce Jr. (Cindy); grandchildren, Trey Yarbrough (Kelsey), Courtney Hatchett (Alex), Hunter Dodson (Caroline), and Chase Dodson (Caitlyn); great-grandchildren, Beau Hatchett, Madelyn Kay Dodson, and Bobbie Lauren Yarbrough; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Amy Dodson (former husband, Brian Dodson – survives).
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday September 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Norris Funeral Services West End Chapel with Reverend Myron Bruce and Pastor Steven White officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Internment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens.
