Judy Marie Deatherage

Judy Marie Deatherage, 65, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at her residence. She was born September 24, 1957, in Lexington, North Carolina, to the late Theodore Rosevelt Moore and Addie Moore. Judy was of the Christian faith. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Judy’s greatest joy was being a grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rev. T.R. Moore. She is survived by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Deatherage; daughters, Elizabeth “Beth” Henson, Stephanie Reynolds-Price; sons, Brian Wilson, Michael Wilson, Joe Deathrage; sisters, Della Crotts, Shirley Watkins, Linda Thomas, Louise Lookabille, nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild. The funeral service will be Sunday, November 20, 2022, at 2:00 P.M., at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Neil Pressley officiating. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service.
