Julia Rose Angus
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Julia Rose Angus, age 25, of Halifax, and formerly of Madison Heights, who left us on Friday, March 21, 2025. Julia was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on September 9, 1999, to Vincent Angus and Amanda Bradner Falwell.
A proud graduate of Brookville High School, Julia was a passionate soul with a deep desire to make a difference in the lives of others. She was working toward becoming a social worker, hoping to help those in need and make the world a kinder place. Julia’s heart was as big as her dreams, and she cared deeply for her family, friends, and all the animals she adored. She often treated her pets—Baby Girl, Nala, Truffles, and her Bearded Dragon, Alexander—like children, showing boundless love and affection for them.
Julia leaves behind her daughter, Jocelyn Rose Angus, whose spirit and joy she cherished. In addition to her parents, Vincent Angus and Amanda Bradner Falwell, Julia is survived by her friend, Nicholas Bill Hudson and his children, William Coley and Lillyana Hudson; her paternal grandmother, Sandra R. Angus; maternal grandmother, Susan Wallin (Bob); and maternal grandfather, Richard Bradner (Carol). She is also remembered by her half-brothers, Blake Falwell and Brodie Falwell, and her stepbrothers, Michael Cannon and Derek Cannon.
The family will celebrate Julia’s life with a visitation for family and friends on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to honor Julia’s memory consider making a donation to the Amherst County Humane Society, an organization dear to her heart.
Julia’s love for life, her kindness, and her unwavering desire to help others will be missed by all who knew her.
