It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Julian “Wayne” Robertson, age 84, of Chatham, Virginia. A beloved husband, father, and faithful man of God, he departed on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Centra Hospital, Lynchburg, VA. He attended Mill Creek Community Church and lived a life marked by devotion, kindness, and unwavering faith. He was born in Penhook, VA, the son of the late John Linford Robertson and the late Ethel Taylor Robertson. He was a devoted husband of 65 years to his loving wife, Edna Dove Robertson, who survives, at the residence. Their marriage was a testament to a true partnership filled with love, respect and shared dreams. Together, they built a home rooted in faith and love.

Wayne took great pride in being a dedicated father to his daughters Rhonda Robertson Romano (who predeceased him) and Patricia “Trish” Robertson and husband Warren Wilson. His children were the light of his life and his legacy of integrity, hard work and faith that will continue to guide Trish through these difficult days.

Wayne was a man of deep faith and a pillar in his church and community. He lived out his beliefs in every aspect of his life, offering a kind word and a helping hand to all that needed either. Beyond his faith, Wayne was known for his tireless work ethic. He was a dedicated farmer all his life and worked on his beautiful farm that gave him great joy. His presence will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
