Kateland Ann McKinney

Kateland Ann McKinney, 22, of Bassett, VA, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023. She was born on September 17, 2000, to the late Lacy Eugene McKinney and Margaret Kay Thomas Hopkins who survives.

She enjoyed hunting and fishing. She will be remembered mostly for how she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her stepfather, Stacy Hopkins, Sr.; a sister, Cierra Hopkins; two brothers, Stacy Hopkins, Jr., and James Hopkins; grandparents, Charles and Alice Thomas, Linda Thomas and Eugene Murphy; and a host of cousins and friends.

She was loved by many and will be deeply missed and loved forever.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service chapel. The burial will be private.
