Katherine Bowden Updike

Katherine "Kathy" Bowden Updike, 73 of Bedford, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on Sunday, March 11, 1951 a daughter of Lucienne Doom Bowden of Bedford, who survives and the late Gussie McFarland Bowden, Jr. She was also preceded in death by a son, James Earl "Spike"Foster III, four brothers, Roger "Bucky" Bowden, Jerry Lee Bowden, William Bowden, David Bowden.

Kathy was a avid animal lover.

In addition to her mother, she is he is survived by her husband, Ronnie Updike; her daughter, Heather Garrett (Carter); three granddaughters, Foster Garrett, Lucienne Garrett, Odessa Foster; sisters, Ingrid Elkins (Mickey), Brenda Padgett (Brent) and three beloved Bassett Hounds, Woodrow, Walter & Suzie Mae.

In lieu of flowers, please made donations to the Beagle Freedom Project, 4804 Laurel Canyon Boulevard, # 534, Valley Village, CA 91607.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Quaker Baptist Church.
