Kathryn Ann Sims

Kathryn Ann Sims, 62, of Stuart, Virginia passed away in her home on January 18, 2023 following a hard-fought battle with colon cancer. Kathy was born on December 14, 1960 in Collingswood, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Kershaw Sr., her brother Louis R. Kershaw, and many beloved pets over the years.Kathy is survived by her husband, Stephen Alan Sims and daughter, Anna Marie Sims as well as her mother Eileen (Sheehan) Kershaw, brother Thomas Kershaw and his wife Susan, brother Michael Kershaw and his wife Shawn, sister Jean Allan and her husband Glenn, many nieces and nephews, and two very special dogs, Jill and Jessie.A caretaker by nature, Kathy worked at the Martinsville Memorial Hospital for 26 years providing meals for patients and staff. Kathy enjoyed hunting treasures of all kinds with her husband and vacationing at Wildwood New Jersey with her daughter and the Kershaw family.
