Kathryn W. Barton

Kathryn Barton,72, of Martinsville Virginia passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born December 13, 1950, in Danville, Virginia to the late Clarence Wright and Mary Ann Riddle Wright. Kathryn dearly loved her grandson, great-grandchildren, and her pets. She was a member of County Line Christian Church in Axton. She was a dedicated employee of American Furniture and served as an office administrator for thirty-five years. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband whom she was married to for 42 years and who passed in July, 2013, Kenneth Owen Barton; and brother Leon Adrian Wright. She is survived by her daughter Patricia K. Barton; sister, Betty Lou Wright Custer; brother, Michael Anthony Wright (Lisa); grandson, Philip Anthony Barton; great grandchildren, Lily Ann Barton, Jacy Lin Barton, and Hana Joy Barton; sisters-in-law, Brenda G. Wright and Vicky Farley; brothers-in law, Ronald L. Barton, and Raymond Barton. A memorial service will be held at Wright Funeral Service chapel on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 7:00 PM with Rev. Dean Ashby officiating the service. There will be a one-half hour visitation before the service and at other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in honor of Kathryn to the charity of your choice.
