Kathy Allgood Graves
Kathy Allgood Graves of Greensboro, NC, age 66, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Kathy was born on July 14, 1958, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a joy that touched all who knew her. She grew up in Danville, VA with her beloved parents, Joseph Edward “Eddie” Allgood Jr. and Audrey Jean Edwards Allgood, and sister, Tracey Toler, all whom preceded her in death. Kathy graduated from James Madison University. After which, she helped run the family business, Allgood Promotions, while also being a devoted wife and mother. Kathy was married to her husband, William Frank Graves, for almost 25 years before his passing. Together they created a life full of cherished memories traveling, cheering on Virgina Tech football, and raising their two children, Rebecca Marie Graves and William Joseph Graves (Michelle). Kathy was an adored mother who always put her family first, embodying the qualities of selflessness and dedication that made her the heart of their home. Known for her fun-loving personality, Kathy had a smile that could light up any room and an infectious laugh that could brighten even the darkest days. Throughout her courageous cancer battle, she continued to be a constant source of joy and positivity. In addition to her loving children, those left to cherish her memory are her mother-in-law, Elenanor Garrison, niece, Rachel Stroup, nephew, John Toler, and grandpup, Henry. Kathy will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Triad BeHeadStrong.
