Kathy Ann Gallimore

Kathy Ann Gallimore, 70, Roanoke, VA Passed away February 17, 2025.

She was born December 4, 1954 in Kingsport, TN and moved to Roanoke with her parents in June 1969. She loved learning and was a graduate of Lucy Addison High School. She never met a stranger and loved everyone she knew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred D. and Stella Thurston Gallimore, whom she cared for in the home, her sisters, Mary Tester and Dorothy Willis and many aunts and uncles whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by her brother, Riley W. Snapp (Sandra) as well as many special cousins, nieces, nephews and several special friends who helped care for her through the years.

She attended Journey Church in Roanoke when she was able and loved her church family.

Services will be held Friday February 21 at 1:00 pm at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road Chapel officiated by Pastor Jackie Taylor of Journey Church. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time. Interment will follow services at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

Family members who have agreed to serve as pallbearers are Leonard Duggins, Greg Duggins, Billy Thurston, Matt Thurston, Mike Stephenson, and Harold Snapp.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Carrington Place and Carillion Hospice for their exceptional care and love extended to Kathy during her illness. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
