Kathy Haskins Cooper

Kathy Haskins Creasy Cooper, age 70, of Chatham, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

Born on June 10, 1954, in Pittsylvania County, Kathy was the daughter of the late Ann Collins Haskins and the late Dennis Coleman Haskins. She was a strong woman, a devoted mother to her two children, and a loyal friend who cherished her close-knit circle—her “tribe.”

Kathy found joy in the beauty of nature, especially in spending time outdoors and tending to her beloved flowers.

She was first married to Kenneth Gene “Link” Creasy, who preceded her in death in 2007. Years later, she found love again and married Eddie Cooper Jr., who also predeceased her in 2022.

In addition to her husbands and parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her sisters, Faye Haskins Francis and Patty Haskins.

She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Creasy (William); her son, Coleman Creasy (Carrie); her cherished granddaughter, Braelyn Adams; and her beloved pet, Dino. Kathy also leaves behind many beloved family members and friends who will deeply miss her warmth and resilience.

A Celebration of Life service honoring Kathy will be held on Saturday May 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Service, Chatham Chapel. The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., also at Norris Funeral Service.

At other times, friends and family are welcome to visit the family at Kathy’s residence.
