Kathy Turner

Kathy Lynn Turner, 63 of Narrows, VA., went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 29, 2025.  Kathy was born on July 30, 1962, in Giles County, VA., and was a daughter of the late Robert Wayne Turner and Barbara Ann Meadows Turner.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Stewart.

Kathy was a graduate of Narrows High School.  She loved spending her time on Powell Mountain with family.  She was a devoted dog sitter for many friends and family.  She loved supporting her grandchildren and enjoyed their dedication to the Green Wave Community.  She attended Rich Creek First United Methodist Church and her deep faith in God gave her peace through difficult times.  She was also known for remembering everyone’s birthday.  Kathy will be remembered for her love and support for her family and friends.     

She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Dawn Helton (James) of Narrows, 2 grandchildren, Jameson and Natalyn and 1 sister, Angel Daugherty of Parrott, and numerous nieces, nephews and family.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 5pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows, VA. with Rev. Taylor Hines officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour before the service from 4 – 5 pm. at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Heritage Hall Rich Creek, Carilion Giles Community Hospital, and the Roanoke Memorial Hospital for their care and support.
