Kaye Frances Broughman Grogan

Kaye Frances Broughman Grogan, 80, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 22, 2024. Born on March 31, 1944, in Bassett, she was the cherished daughter of the late Frances Archer Philpott. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Burton Grogan, as well as her parents, two sisters, and one brother.

Kaye was a devoted member of Villa Heights Baptist Church. She had a great love for writing and photography and was well known for it. Kaye was not only an author but also an ardent lover of cats. Her passion for life extended to a local bowling league, where she was an active member for over 25 years. Kaye also had her own show, Viewpoint, where she shared her insights and experiences with others. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends, who will forever remember her warmth and kindness.

Kaye is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Grogan Hooker (Jeff) of Bassett, Virginia, and Kelli Grogan of Austin, Texas. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Wesley Joyce (Heather), Joshua Napier (Lauren), Amanda Harless (Daniel), Jordan Stone (Joshua), and Shellee Hooker. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Ansel Joyce, Caiden Stone, Robin Joyce, Cannon Napier, Samson Stone, and many other loving family members and friends.

Kaye’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
