Kellie Elizabeth Benson
On Saturday, April 26, 2025 our beloved and treasured Kellie Elizabeth Benson passed away at the age of 57. She was born on May 6, 1967. She was a beautiful, precious and priceless treasure to her husband Kevin. She was also highly adored and a beloved mother to her daughter Annika Benson. Kellie was an incredible wife, mother, sister and aunt! There are no words to describe the impact that she had on our lives.
Kellie loved the Lord Jesus Christ with her whole heart. She was unwavering in her convictions to her faith, family, and friends. She was extremely selfless! She always thought of others over herself. She loved blessing others. She loved taking road trips and exploring new and small towns in Colorado and in Virginia.
Kellie graduated from Penn State with a bachelor’s degree. Kellie also played field hockey for Penn State while attending school there. Kellie was a professional educator for over 25 years. Kellie coached girls’ lacrosse and lead student council. Her love for kids and for helping others grow led her to being a professional tutor that helped edit and draft papers and books. She also edited transcripts for congress.
Kellie is survived by her husband, Kevin; daughter, Annika; mother, Martha West; brother, Mike (Michelle) West; sisters Stacy (Mark) Harlan, and Carrie (Rob) Terselic. She is also survived by nine nephews and nieces and 10 grand nephews and grandnieces. She is preceded in passing by her father Colonel HB West and her nephew Capt. John Terselic.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2025 at Mountain View Memorial Park. A celebration of life will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2025 at Twin Oaks Baptist Church.
