Kelly Darnall

Kelly Jay Darnall of Salem passed away in his home beside his loving wife on September 21, 2024. He was 62. Kelly was a Master Mechanic for the City of Roanoke Fleet Maintenance for 29.5 years, when he retired. He was deeply fond of all animals and was prone to rescuing all kinds of them. He loved spending time at his family hunting camp in Bath County with his family and close friends.

Kelly was a legend among his friends and family. There will never be another one like him. He was a lover of country, bluegrass, and rock music.

Kelly was married to Sandi Darnall for 26 years.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Bobby and Phyllis Darnall, his daughter Lynnette Jones, his daughter Tonya Swain, his Grandparents Vergil and Gladys Stinson and Neil and Eva Darnall. His beloved Miss Kitty cat and his dog Skipper

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Sandi Darnall of Salem, Daughter Michelle Darnall of Salem, son Steven Swain and long time girlfriend Jessie of Roanoke, his Uncle Norman Darnall of Salem, and his Aunt Patty Brookes of South Carolina. His Grandchildren David, Montana, and Angela. And Many Great - Grandchildren. Also, His life long best friends Todd Williams and Billy Hiner.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

A funeral service will be held at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.
