Kenneth Page Carwile

Kenneth Page Carwile, 81, of Madison Heights passed away at his home peacefully on Monday January 20, 2025. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of over 37 years, Marie Carwile. Born in Campbell County on February 18, 1943, he was the son of the late James Clyde Carwile and Mary Helen Marston. He retired from Harris Trucking with a successful driving career of 35 years and racked up over 3 million miles. He proudly served his country in the National Guard. He was a member of Madison Heights Christian Church where he was formerly a Deacon. He was well known as a jokester to all that knew him and a warm helping hand when needed. He was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather and all-around loving person. He was a happy man that was proud of his family and a true believer in God. He was preceded in death by his children, Tammy Carwile and Renee Wilkerson; his sister Carolyn Jamerson; his brother in laws Fred, Kenneth, and Welton Lewis and Minor Ford(Nick); his sister in laws Blanche Ford, Karen Lewis and Sue Roberts. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister Virginia Fitch (Doug) of Concord, his brother James Carwile (Ann) of Concord; his children Allen Grubbs of Howardsville, Tim Grubbs of Luray, Michael Grubbs Sr (Jennifer) of Mocksville, NC; his grandchildren Kayla Straub (Shawn) of El Cajon, CA, Tyler Grubbs of Ronceverte, WV, Michael Grubbs Jr (Eden) Millersville, MD, Joshua Grubbs (Kasey) of Gordonsville, and Eva Grubbs of Mocksville, NC. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel officiated by Pastor George Harris. Interment will follow the service at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
