Kenneth Raymond Moore

Kenneth Raymond Moore, 56, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Kenneth was born on July 25, 1967, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Raymond M. Moore and Sadie Coleman Moore.

Kenneth was a Pipefitter for over 35 years. He was a member of Mount Bethel United Methodist Church. Kenneth was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating with his family and spending time at the cabin, at Buggs Island. In his spare time, he also enjoyed playing cards. After retiring, Kenneth returned to work with his son, Jimmie, simply to spend more quality time together. He cherished time spent playing with his granddaughters.

Left to cherish Kenneth’s memory are his son, James “Jimmie” Moore (Megan); sister, Sandra Moore (K-No Richardson); three grandchildren, Arielle, Adelyn, and Arrow; beloved dogs, Appa and Sugar; and numerous cousins, family and friends.

There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM, at Mount Bethel United Methodist Church, with Dr. JD Harmon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A burial will immediately follow at Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery.
