Kenneth Wayne Odom

Mr. Kenneth Wayne Odom, 74 of Mount Airy, went to be with his Lord and Savior from his residence on Tuesday June 18, 2024. He was born in Miami, FL on July 24, 1949, to the late Walter and Bertha May Ellery Odom. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shelli Lynne Brown Odom; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Kenneth Scott Odom and wife Jessica, and Christian James Brown-Odom; daughter, Brittni Lynne Arriba; 4 grandchildren, Zachary Odom, Nicholas Odom, Rylan Arriba, and Michael Gauldin; 2 sisters, Karen Flynn and Kathi Donenfeld; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Joanna Odom; many nieces and nephews; and several other family and friends. Kenny was a mechanic by trade and a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed. He was a simple and selfless man, always putting others before himself. He loved music, was an established ham radio operator, loved diving in Key West with his son, and anything to do with his family. Very selfless and compassionate were his biggest traits. A service of worship and celebration of his life will be held later. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
