Kevin Jacob Morganthal

Kevin Jacob Morganthal, 66, of Dry Fork, Va., passed away peacefully in his home on January 3, 2026.

Kevin was born July 24, 1959, in Winthrop, Massachusetts. He began his career in autobody repair while taking VoTech classes in high school. He loved everything about cars, ultimately making a career out of fixing and building cars. His passion for autobody showed in the quality of his work, which was second to none. Everyone who knew him knows that he was one of the best in his craft.

Kevin is survived by his partner, Shirley Morganthal, his sons, Ryan and Kevin Morganthal, grandson Jacob Morganthal, granddaughters Avery and Riley Morganthal, sister Susie Morganthal Parson and husband Jody, brother David Morganthal and wife Terrie. He is also survived by nieces Kenzie Elliott and husband Tanner, Bella Kaufman and husband Brad, Shannon Wilson and husband Travis, and nephews Gary Morganthal, Michael Morganthal, and Deney Morganthal. Also surviving are one stepdaughter, Sarah Wandell, and her husband, Mike, and their children, Michael, Jason, and John.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Mae Young; his stepfather, Earl Young; his father, Andrew David Morganthal; his stepmother, Marie; his brother, Gary Morganthal Sr.; and his nephew, Davey Morganthal.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Saturday, January 10th, at 2 pm at the Otterbein United Brethren in Christ Church, located at 146 Leitersburg St., Greencastle, PA. Pastor David Rawley will be officiating the ceremony.

Kevin loved his family and friends more than anything, with that love being returned to him equally. He will be missed by all. We love you, Kevin.
