Kevin Ray Keys
Kevin Ray Keys, age 52, passed away on January 31, 2025. Kevin was born on August 22, 1972, to Ivan “Ray” Keys and Myra Walton Keys in Danville, Virginia.
Kevin was born and raised in Danville, and after graduating college and working in various cities, he returned to his hometown. In Danville, Kevin served on numerous boards, started his own business, and truly cared about everyone in the community. He never met a stranger, and lit up the room wherever he was.
Kevin had two U.S. patents, was the president of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity at Radford University, and had numerous accolades at work throughout his career. He was a member of Brush Arbor Baptist Church. Kevin loved God, his family, and helping others. Kevin enjoyed bass fishing, golfing, and going to concerts with his children. He was loved by so many, and it is important that we all hold his memories close to our hearts and love others as strongly as he did.
Kevin was predeceased by his father Ivan “Ray” Keys. He is survived by his mother, Myra Walton Keys, his two children Zachary and Emma, and his faithful four-legged companion, Koda.
Norris Funeral Service, West End Chapel is serving the Keys family. The family will receive friends at Norris Funeral Service, West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave. Danville, Virginia from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025 with a private burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bachelor’s Hall Fire and Rescue Squad.
