Kevin Wheeler

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Kevin Dean Wheeler, 61, of Roanoke, on December 19, 2023 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Alvin Wheeler.Dean was born on August 15, 1962, to Doris (Wilkes) and Alvin Wheeler. He worked in the tire business for 34 years, most recently with McCarthy Tire Service n Roanoke as Assistant Manager.He was united in marriage to Sue Wheeler on May 18, 2018, after having been together for 10 years. He happily adopted into his life extended family members, stepdaughters, Shannon Wilkerson of Benton, Arkansas, Amalie (Noah) Volkmann of Omaha, Nebraska, Ashley Volkmann of Mishawaka, Indiana; step granddaughters, Leah Beth and Haley Wilkerson, He always loved his new role of being their Papa. He leaves behind his beloved dogs Peyton and Jasmine,He is also survived by his wife Sue Wheeler; mother, Doris Wheeler of Roanoke; brother Gary Wheeler of Vinton; a niece and three nephews, several grand nieces, nephews, and many cousins.There will be no funeral services per Dean’s wishes.
