Kim Stuart Angle

Kim Stuart Angle, 69, died on August 24, 2024. He was born in Roanoke, VA, on February 14, 1953, to the late Alice Joy and Clyde Angle. He was also predeceased by a special aunt and uncle, Helene and William (Bill) Chocklett; and his brother-in-law, Ron Massey.

Kim is survived by his sister, Carole A. Massey of Salisbury, NC;  sister, Sharon E. Angle of Staunton, VA; nephew, Ronald Lee Massey II (Kathleen); niece, Katherine Massey; great nephews (Griffin and Henry); great nieces (Spencer and Maggie); and cousins.

Kim graduated from William Fleming High School, Class of 1973, in Roanoke, VA, where he was an outstanding athlete. He went on to graduate from Virginia Tech in 1977. He was employed as an independent contractor, as he enjoyed setting his own schedule and spending three months of the year hunting, fishing and traveling.

Kim found pleasure at his Craig Creek home in Eagle Rock, as well as, his Sontag hunting camp. Kim’s joy also came from his friendships and experiences with his “Band of Brothers,” a special group of buddies, many of whom he met in his sandlot baseball and football days. He especially enjoyed their travels to Canada, Montana, New Orleans and various beaches. He was a very proud Hokie, a great brother, and a trusted friend. Kim was a quiet man - thoughtful, kind, well-read and incredibly witty. He would help anyone and do anything for those he loved.

The family wishes to acknowledge Jim Patterson, of Goode, VA; and Mark Boggs, of Eagle Rock, VA. There will be no service per Kim’s wishes. You may honor his memory with a donation to charities supporting the SPCA and ALS.
