Kimberly Ann Andrews
KIMBERLY ANN ANDREWS, 63, of Bastian, VA, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024, at her home.
She was born January 3, 1961 in Bluefield, WV, the daughter of the late George James (Jim) Lane, Jr. and Joyce Ann Hull Kidd.
Kimberly enjoyed helping others and helped many people over the years. She was a caregiver for many family members and gave extra time and special attention to those in need. She spent much time and energy rescuing many animals over the years. She was a pharmacy technician at Bland County Pharmacy and loved her customers along the way. She enjoyed being outdoors and enjoyed yardwork, working with her flowers and gardening. She was noted for her generosity and abundance of kindness and was a supportive and nonjudgmental parent and friend.
She was preceded in death by her mother & stepfather, Joyce Ann Hull & Frankie C. Kidd, her father, George James (Jim) Lane, Jr., and her grandparents, Lloyd & Geneva hull, Ollie B. Kidd and George, Sr. & Laura Kate Lane.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tessa Andrews, Brittany & Richard Linkous and Cory Andrews and Cindi Underwood; her grandchildren, which she loved the most, Wyatt, Bella, Gabriel, Thomas and Tammy; her brothers & sisters-in-law, Phillip & Lillian Kidd and Matthew & Nancy Kidd; her sister, Cheryl Moses; her stepmother, Judith Lane; her half-brothers, Mark Lane and Jimbo Lane and their spouses; her aunts, Elsie Thompson and Allene Mann; all of her many special pet companions; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service and celebration of her life is planned for Friday, January 12, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Bastian Church of God, with Pastor Cliff Bowman and her brother, Pastor Matthew Kidd officiating. Her family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 P.M. until service time, 1:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in Kimberly’s honor be made directly to A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, 2508 Walkers Creek Valley Rd., Pearisburg, VA 24134, to help with funeral expenses.
