Kimberly Dawn Johnson

Kimberly Dawn Johnson, 44, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. She was born on October 13, 1981, to Mark A. Johnson and Karol Johnson Mears. She was preceded in death by her stepfather Steve Mears, and grandparents Clifford & Virginia Harris and Katie Via Lane.

Kimberly was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy in life was caring for her family. She was known for her giving heart, gentle spirit, and the unconditional love she poured into her children and those around her. She cherished time spent with family and friends, and she brightened every room she entered with her kindness.

In addition to her parents, she leaves behind the love of her life, Eric Calfee, and two beloved sons, Nathaniel Blaine Nuckles and Logan Stone Calfee. She is also survived by her sister, April Cobb (Matt Taylor); aunts Valerie Kyle (Michael), Lana Lane, and Tammy Wagoner; uncles Vance Johnson (Gail); her stepmother Clara Johnson; and her special niece Cierra Bradshaw (Shannon). Kimberly is also remembered by a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

Kimberly’s life was a testament to love, compassion, and devotion. Her memory will continue to live on through the family she adored and the many lives she touched along the way.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Ross Harbour Methodist Church at 11:00am. Kimberly will be laid to rest at Ross Harbour Methodist Church Cemetery with her beloved Nana & Papa.

Kimberly had a great love for animals, and in her memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Martinsville & Henry County SPCA by mailing contributions to 132 Joseph Martin Hwy, Martinsville, VA 24112.
