Kitty Beverly Humpherys

Kitty Beverly Humphreys, 79, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026. She was born on November 12, 1946, and devoted her life to caring for others through her work as a private caregiver, offering support and compassion to members of her community during times of need.

Kitty is preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Humphreys; her father, Lacy Beverly; her mother, Mary; and her brothers, Bonnie, Bobby, and Jimmy. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings Barbara Lovegrove and her husband Keith, Ethel Wilson and her late husband James, and Donnie Beverly.

Kitty will be deeply missed by her children, stepchildren, and grandchildren. She is survived by her son Jason Humphreys, his wife Heather, and their daughters, Caitlin and Gracie; her son David Cash, his wife Stephanie, and their children, Joshua and Julia; and her son Jody Humphreys, his partner Amanda, and their daughter, Jodi. She is also survived by her stepson Buddy Humphreys, his wife Debra, and their daughter, Kimberly, as well as her stepdaughter Kay, her husband Tommy, and their sons, Thomas and Joseph. Kitty leaves behind many other beloved family members and friends with whom she shared meaningful moments throughout her life.

Known for her feisty personality, her love of music, and her talent for playing the guitar. Kitty brought joy, humor, and warmth wherever she went. She was a proud tribal member of the Monacan Indian Nation and cherished participating in community traditions, especially local pow-wows.

Funeral services will be held at Driskill Funeral Chapel of Amherst on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m.
