Larry Clyde Davis

Larry Clyde Davis, 72, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Born March 18, 1953, in Martinsville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Richard Davis and Evelyn Hammock Davis. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by the parents who raised him and were dear to his heart, John Burcl and Robbie Tracy Burcl, and his sister, Patricia Deanne Hylton.

Larry devoted many years of service to Springs, Inc. before retiring, and he took great pleasure in hunting and fishing, often spending peaceful days at the local Martinsville reservoir and Philpott Dam. His love of the outdoors and his easygoing spirit endeared him to all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Mae Davis; his daughter, Sharon Lynn Davis Bowen; and a host of other family members who will fondly remember his warmth, generosity, and zest for life.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 1:00pm at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Susan Atkins officiating.
