Larry Dale Utt

Mr. Larry Dale Utt Sr., age 73, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at AnMed in Anderson, South Carolina. He was born in Surry County on February 25, 1950, to the late Ed, and Evelyn Tate Utt. Larry co-owned and operated J&L Floor Covering before retiring. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and father-in-law who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Sandra Hensley Utt; sons and daughter-in-law, Richard Utt (Amanda), Larry Utt Jr and special friend Jade, and her daughter Mika; grandchildren, Carlie, Chance, Brandi, and Elijah Utt; sister, Eva Cave. In addition to his parents, Mr. Utt was preceded in death a son, Stephen Utt ; sisters, Treva Easter, Hazel Utt, Margaret Utt, Mildred Gagne; brothers, James, Bobby, Carmel, and Glenn Utt. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with service conducted by Rev. Dean Eaton. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00–8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
