Larry Darnell Eggleston

Larry Darnell Eggleston was the son of the late Clarence W. Eggleston and Dora H. Eggleston. He was born October 21, 1956, in Martinsville, Virginia. He departed this life peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2024.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Dennis L. Eggleston, Clyde E. Eggleston, and Eugene Gene Eggleston.He lived most of his life in Martinsville, Virginia where he graduated from Laurel Park High School in 1975. He was no stranger to hard work. He was a supervisor and dedicated employee for sixteen years with Axcess Staffing.Larry loved the outdoors, where he found a love for fishing, hunting, gardening, and taking care of his home. He loved spending time with friends, family and especially his brothers. He loved going to Tennessee to enjoy a good race. In his spare time, he could be found on his boat and in his 454 Chevrolet truck.Those left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted wife of thirty-seven years, Felicia Gale Eggleston; son, Cameron D. Eggleston; and brothers, Clarence J. Eggleston, of Martinsville, Virginia, Calvin B. Eggleston (Peggy) of Jamestown, North Carolina; and Stanley P. Eggleston (Lori) of Nashville, Tennessee; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; his aunts, Annie Millner and Cecil Hodge; brother-in-law, Anthony Parrish; sisters-in-law, Chiquila Parrish, Glenda McQueen, and Sharon Eggleston.The funeral will be Monday, September 16, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Dwight Mack officiating. Burial will follow at Mayo Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. There will be a floating visitation Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
