Larry Dean Fisher

Larry Dean Fisher, age 80, of Christiansburg, passed away, Monday, March 17, 2025. He was born in Narrows, Virginia on September 22, 1944 to the late Preston and Bernice Bivens Fisher. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Janice Kay Fisher and a sister, Mary Lou Webster. He was a member of Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church. Larry retired from Norfolk and Western Railroad and Shelor Motor Mile. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Carla Fisher; daughters and sons-in-law, Shannon and Mark Sisson, Angie and Brent Jacobs; grandchildren, Michael Gathings, Tori (Josh) Willis, Justin Fisher, Kyndell (Jessie) Buzzard, Morgan (Seth) Willis, Dakota Sisson, Carsyn Sisson, Kaitlyn Jacobs, Noah Jacobs, Maddox Jacobs; great-grandchildren, Cadence, Wyatt, Phoebe, Aryana, Jaxon; cousin, Connie Ferrell; special friends, Ronnie and Diane Bowles, David and Matt Hagen, and his Shelor Motor Mile family. God and family were the most important things to him. Larry was full of life and himself. He never missed a chance to make a joke or pull a prank. Larry was a jack of all traits and most of all he was his family’s hero. He never met a stranger. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Craig Reed officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 PM at the church prior to the service.
