Larry Gray Holyfield

Mr. Larry Gray Holyfield, age 75, of Dobson, NC passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Dunmore Plantation in Dobson, NC. He was born in Surry County, on May 28, 1947, to the late Curtis Asbury Holyfield, Sr. and the late Anna Tucker Holyfield. He was retired from Reynolds Tobacco Company. Surviving is his nephew and wife, Tony and Abby Holyfield; great-nephew, Eli Holyfield; sister-in-law, Peggy Holyfield; also surviving are his two best friends, Sharon Martin, Eddie Paitsel; and all his breakfast buddies at Aunt Bea’s in Pilot Mountain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Curtis Asbury Holyfield, Jr. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday March 17, 2023, in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Level Cross United Methodist Church Cemetery. Brother Roger Miller will officiate the services. The family will receive friends on Friday one hour before the service at the Funeral Home.
