Larry Journigan

Larry Journigan, age 71 of Ruffin, North Carolina passed away September 21, 2024 at SECU Hospice House in Yadkinville, North Carolina. He was born March 21, 1953 in Washington, DC to the Christine Travis Journigan Moore and the late Nelson “Ned” Journigan.

Mr. Journigan worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber until his retirement and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid NASCAR and go-cart racing fan, most of all, he will be remembered as a kind and loving father, grandfather, and friend to everyone who knew him.

He is survived by two daughters, Mandi M. Striker and husband John, and Jennifer L. Early and husband Jerry, Sr.; six grandchildren, Seth Striker, Makenna Striker, Hollie Striker, Erica E. Anderson and husband Eli, Jerry Early, Jr. and wife Caroline, and Kaelob Early; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was also predeceased by one brother, Barry Journigan and his wife Janice.

A graveside service will be held Friday, September 27, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Danville Memorial Gardens with Pastor Austin Merricks officiating.

At other times the family will receive friends and family at the residence of his daughter, Mandi Striker.
