Larry L. Eskew

Larry Leigh “Weegie” Eskew, 64, of Axton, VA, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 24, 1958, to the late Junior L. Eskew and Ruby B. Eskew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Cassandra F. Barbour

He enjoyed playing softball, horseshoe pitching, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Larry is survived by his wife, Lisa J. Eskew; son, Joshua L. Eskew; three daughters, Journey L. Eskew (B.J.), Autumn E. Barbour (Casey), Jordan T. Eskew (Garrett); three grandchildren, Cadence, Sebastian, Cheyenne; two sisters, Cathy E. Hairfield, Donna E. Harrold; brother, Muscoe R. Eskew; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Bassett Funeral Service chapel. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at The Eskew Family Cemetery located in Axton.
