Larry Norman Cassada

Larry Norman Cassada, 73, of Axton, Virginia passed away Friday, October 25, 2024. He was born October 24, 1951, in Henry County, Virginia to the late Calvin Dallas Cassada and Cora Lou Earles Moore.Larry proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era and was a dedicated employee of the United States Postal Service for more than twenty-five years. He was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church and was a graduate of Fieldale Collinsville High School. Larry lived life to the fullest whether he was working on the farm with the animals, riding bicycle trails with the grandchildren, or riding his motorcycle. He loved volunteering his time at the church. Larry was an avid softball player, playing in leagues and tournaments abroad, a member of the MIA Softball Team. He had a whimsical personality and loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren.He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-four years, Dawn Berger Cassada; sons, Jeffrey Cassada (Rachel), and Hunter Cassada; sister, Cheryl Gauldin; brother, Terry Cassada (Linda); grandchildren, Kayla Cassada, Joshua Cassada, Aaron Cassada, Kirrah Cassada, and Kyndra Cassada; and one great-grandchild, Kayden Cassada-Liston.The Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM at The Artisan Barn, 1215 Collins Rd., Axton VA, 24054 with Pastor Robby Benfield and Pastor Dean White officiating. A Floating Visitation will be held Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
