Latahia Tinniah Williams

LaTahia Williams, age 45, of Danville, VA, a strong and resilient Black woman, was born on September 20, 1979, in Nathalie, Virginia, to her loving parents Belinda Williams and Carl Marshall. She passed away Monday, September 30, 2024, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia. Growing up, she spent most of her time with her beloved grandmother, Clarine Williams, and her dear cousins, forming bonds that lasted a lifetime. LaTahia was educated in the Halifax County School system and proudly received her G.E.D. in 2015. She was baptized in 1992 at Millstone Baptist Church and later found love and support at her home church, Faith In God Temple of Praise.

A true fashionista and hustla, LaTahia had a passion for taking care of people, especially the elderly, and those with mental illnesses and substance abuse issues. She enjoyed reading urban books and found solace in listening to music. Known for her nurturing spirit, she was a mother figure not only to her own children but also to their friends and many others in the surrounding areas. Her favorite color was pink, and she had a deep love for jewelry and shopping. LaTahia's vibrant personality and loving nature touched the lives of everyone who knew her, and her memory will forever be cherished.

LaTahia Williams leaves behind a loving and devoted family who will forever hold her in their hearts. Her cherished mother, Belinda Williams and beloved father, Carl Marshall, will always treasure her memory. As a dedicated mother, she nurtured and loved her children: Kaos Green, Nawdaisha Green, and Makiya Williams. Jonathon Tolbert was a devoted father to her children. Her precious grandchild, London Waters, will deeply miss her presence.

Her siblings, Rocha Williams, Carlos Marshall, Jeffrey Wilkes, and Madeline Marshall will carry her spirit with them always. She also leaves behind a large extended family of cousins, aunts, and uncles whom she loved dearly. Her admiration for her late grandmother, Clarine Williams, was profound and everlasting.

LaTahia's life was enriched by the special bonds she shared with her friends Kresha Barley, Rashanda Walker, Jareekas Barley, and Nikki Brandon. LaTahia's warm and loving nature touched everyone who knew her, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at her home church, Faith In God Temple of Praise, Richmond Blvd (Route 360), Danville. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church prior to the funeral. At other times the family will receive friends and family at the residence of her mother, Belinda Williams.
