Lawrence "Skippy" Edward Sledge, Jr. 79 of Bassett passed away March 23, 2023 at Sovah Health Martinsville. He was born November 27, 1943 to the late Lawrence Edward Sledge, Sr. and the late Irene O’dell Sledge.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bassett. A graveside service will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Burial Park with a thirty minute visitation prior to the service. Pastor Doug Ramsey officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Shawl Ministry at First Baptist Bassett Church, P.O. Box 557, Bassett, Va. 24055
