Lee Roy Moody, Sr., age 82, of 1725 Main Street, Clifton Forge, and formerly of Gaston, Northhampton County, North Carolina, died Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the Alleghany Health and Rehabilitation Center in Clifton Forge.
He was born on July 22, 1940 in North Carolina, a son of Cabit and Emma Lee Turner Moody. Born into a farming family, Lee Roy also became a farmer and had three children, Lee Royal Moody, Jr., Kenneth Ray Moody, and Laura Denise Moody Jones. A graveside funeral service was held on Friday, June 30, 2023 in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Reverend Bill Hartsfield officiating. Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge handled the arrangements.
