Lena Beatrice Harrell Dixon

Mrs. Lena Beatrice Harrell Dixon, age 75, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born on December 27, 1947, in Surry County to the late Ernest and Virginia Stroupe Harrell. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, April Martin, Lara Clark (Chris), Jill Patten (Brian); son, Kirk Pedrero, ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Marsh (Randy), Brenda Rachels, brother, Rev. Porter Harrell (Cherrie). In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by a son, Mark Harrell; brother, Ronnie Harrell; sister, Clara Harrell. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Living God, Ararat, VA, with service conducted by Pastor Gray Cook. Burial will follow in the Harrell Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the church.
